The brand system translates decades of authority in fine wine into a visual and verbal language that balances connoisseurship with accessibility. The new brand builds trust, invites discovery, and supports long-term growth across digital and physical touchpoints.
Building a Brand Character
A single organizing idea defines the brand: The Neighborhood Bon Vivant. Deep expertise balanced with openness and personality, anchored by a tagline: “Zachys, where wine is about living well”. Zachys’ expertise feels inviting, not elitist; discovery feels enriching, not overwhelming.
Designing for Discovery
The design system is built on joy, hierarchy, and contrast. A carefully crafted palette, anchored in a hero yellow, is applied to never compete with the product. Editorial typography and considered spacing let content and storytelling lead.
Clear Brand Architecture
Navigation and illustration clearly delineate Zachys’ retail, auction, and storage offerings, while the homepage unifies them through heritage storytelling and a cohesive visual language.
Editorial Commerce
The business’ complex inventory is organized through a powerful filtering system, with editorial cues like staff favorites and enriched PDPs adding clarity and personality.
