Jules Julien

Born in France in 1975, Jules Julien is a visual artist who lives and works in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. His work redefine the representation of the human condition — a reflection, situated between a visual anthropology and a personal diary, on the role of images that shape both individual and collective identities. Alternately an art director, image maker, and artist, he explores a visual language known for its sensitivity and emotional intensity.
His work has been the subject of numerous solo exhibitions, including at Diesel Aoyama Gallery (Tokyo), La Chapelle des Calvairiennes (Mayenne), Rise Gallery (Berlin), Espa. Tactel (Valencia), the Royal Abbey of Fontevraud (Fontevraud), and the Palazzo dell’Archiginnasio (Bologna). It has also been featured in many group exhibitions, notably at the French Embassy (Tokyo),
Nuit Blanche (Metz), Beyonderground Festival (Hasselt), the MuVIM Museum (Valencia), KK Outlet (London), Plus Gallery (Denver), and the West Bund Art Center (Shanghai), among others.

He also collaborates with brands and institutions including:
Apple, Cartier, Camille Claudel Museum, Nike, Stromae, and The New York Times. He has the honor of being a partner artist of the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago, which will open in
the summer of 2026.
